CRPF men injured in naxal mine blast in Chhattisgarh

The patrol party was out in the jungles when a hidden improvised explosive device in the dirt track went off injuring the three men.

Raipur: Three CRPF personnel were on Saturday injured in an IED blast in the naxal violence affected Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

Officials said the incident took place around 11:15 am when a patrol party of the 111th battalion of the force was out in the jungles of Aranpur and a hidden improvised explosive device placed in the dirt track went off injuring the three men.

The injured have been identified as Assistant Sub Inspector Mohan and Constables A Ghosh and Rajinder.

"They have been air lifted to Dantewada," they said.
