Arunachal Pradesh Governor creating political turmoil in state: NCP
Itanagar: The NCP has alleged Arunachal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa of creating political turmoil in the state. Party’s state unit president Gicho Kabak in a statement on Saturday alleged that the current situation in the state is an "onslaught of the BJP to topple the democratically elected government".
The BJP through the governor is crushing the constitutional values to get power through back door. Now the governor should be more careful that such situation does not occur again.
The governor wants power to rule the state and the Centre has provided him with it by imposing President's Rule in Arunachal Pradesh. He should now rule the state smoothly without affecting the developmental process, a statement from Kabak said.
Public peace and security should be maintained with priority and the development process initiated by the state government should not be stopped at any cost, he added further urging the governor to allow continuation of all the policies and programmes of the state government without any discrimination.
The NCP further cautioned that if any development works are stopped, people would revolt, so the governor should work for the overall interest of the people without any discrimination and ensure that lives and properties of people are protected.
The party also stated that after imposition of President’s Rule in Arunachal, the tourist inflow in the state and business of twin capital cities had declined due to a fear psychosis in the minds of the people.
Paramilitary forces deployed in the capital should be properly directed not to harass innocent people while performing their duty, the party added.
