Telangana Govt to Use Tech to Identify 6G Beneficiaries

CGG and IT depts to vet applications using software tools: Dy CM

Hyderabad: The state government has decided to use advanced software tools for scrutinising applications to identify genuine beneficiaries for the Six Guarantees promised by Congress during the Assembly polls.

The government has asked the Centre for Good Governance (CGG) and Information Technology (IT) departments to vet the applications using software tools.

The IT department has developed ‘Samagra Vedika’, an AI-based digital system to upload and analyse the data of applicants.

The state government has received over 1.25 crore applications for Five Guarantees during the Praja Palana held from December 28 to January 6. The cabinet sub-committee on implementation of Six Guarantees, led by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, met in the Secretariat on Friday to discuss and devise an action plan for vetting of applications and identification of beneficiaries involving officials from finance, revenue, panchayat raj, home, municipal administration, and civil supplies departments.

The committee asked officials to complete data entry of all 1.25 crore applications by the month-end and use CGG and IT department's software tools to avoid duplication.

Vikramarka asked all departments to share online data available with them and coordinate among themselves before finalising data of genuine applicants.
Bhatti made it clear that the state government will not give any OTP (one-time password) to applicants or ask them to share any OTPs with the government for the selection of beneficiaries. He cautioned people against falling prey to cybercriminals and fraudsters and urged applicants not to believe fake claims and to report to the police if they receive phone calls from fraudsters.
