Governor, CM Greet People of Telangana on Sankranti

The Chief Minister asked the people to celebrate the festival happily by enjoying the freedom in the Praja Palana' started in the Telangana state

Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday conveyed their greetings to the people on the occasion of Bhogi on Sunday and Sankranti on Monday.

In her message, the Governor stated: “I extend my warmest wishes and greetings to you all on the auspicious occasion of Bhogi and Sankranti festivals. May these Festivals of Harvest bring abundant happiness, prosperity, and good health to you all."

The significance of Bhogi and Makara Sankranti in our cultural heritage is profound, and their celebration is marked by joy and jubilation. Sankranti celebrations, representing the best in our ancient and glorious tradition, have the power to unite all sections of society, she said.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in his message expressed the hope that the new light emerging on this festive occasion would dispel the darkness of past challenges. The CM wished that the new journey of the Sun would bring about positive changes and illuminate the state with the light of development and welfare.

Highlighting the significance of Bhogi, which brings blessings of wealth, and Sankranti, symbolising the advent of new light, along with the Kanuma festival, Revanth Reddy encouraged everyone to celebrate these occasions joyfully.
He urged the people to revel in the festivities while enjoying the benefits of freedom under the "Praja Palana" (people's rule). He assured the public
that the Congress government would remain steadfast in its commitment to the welfare of all citizens and the continue on the path of progress.
