Siddaramaiah Likens BJP, JDS to Fish out of Water

\"BJP and JD(S) leaders are like fish out of water. They are in an illusion. What can be done?\" questioned Siddaramaiah

Belagavi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in a swift and sharp retort to JD(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy's recent prediction of the Congress government's collapse post-May, likened BJP and JD(S) leaders to "fish out of water."

He was speaking to reporters on his arrival at Belagavi airport on Monday.

"BJP and JD(S) leaders are like fish out of water. They are in an illusion. What can be done?" questioned Siddaramaiah when asked about his reaction to Kumaraswamy's statement.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the lack of coordination among BJP leaders, stating, "BJP never had coordination. They came to power through 'Operation Kamala.' Now, they have lost elections after people rejected them, so they cannot have coordination. There are 2-3 groups within BJP."

On the issue of the Panchamasali community seeking reservation under 2A, Siddaramaiah informed reporters that he had conveyed to community leaders his intention to hold discussions with them and their seer in Bengaluru after the Belagavi session.
