Kakinada: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) has demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government immediately cancel the additional charges levied in power bills and withdraw the implementation of prepaid smart meters.
CPM leaders P. Veerababu and Ch. Ajay Kumar led a delegation to the Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer, A. Ramana Reddy, on Monday.
They submitted a memorandum signed by 5,000 citizens demanding a reduction in power tariffs and the withdrawal of additional charges and smart meters.
