Hyderabad: 14-year-old boy goes missing

A missing case had been registered based on Yadaiah's complaint and efforts were on to trace the boy and his mother.

Hyderabad: Three months after his mother left home, a 14-year-old boy went missing from his house at Abdullapurmet. The father said in his complaint to the police that he suspected that his estranged wife took away their son.

The minor, B. Shiva. was living along with his father Yadaiah, who runs a toddy shop near his house at Surmaiguda in Abdullapurmet. Yadaiah’s wife Hamsamma, 50, left the house on September 10 allegedly due to personal problems, leaving behind their daughter and Shiva.

On December 8, Shiva stayed home due to the school holiday, and Yadaiah went to work. When Yadaiah returned at about 3 pm, Shiva was not at home. He searched all over, and was told that his wife had taken away their son. He searched for the duo again and then lodged a missing complaint with the Abdullapurmet police. His daughter continues to stay with him.

Abdullapurmet inspector M. Muni said a missing case had been registered based on Yadaiah’s complaint and efforts were on to trace the boy and his mother.
