Muslim Personal Law Board meets next week

Speaking to this correspondent, Ilyas said most of the board members had opined that it should seek a review on the verdict.

Hyderabad: Dr S.Q.R. Ilyas, co-convenor of the Babri Masjid Committee of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), said that the meeting of the core committee of the board has been convened to take a decision on seeking a review of the Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute.

Speaking to this correspondent, he said most of the board members had opined that it should seek a review on the verdict. Asked about the Sunni Wakf Board, which is a petitioner, saying it would not file a review petition, he said that the AIMPLB had the right to seek revision of the judgment.

Dr Qadri said, “By seeking a review of the judgment, we would like to raise the errors. We can present our contentions on the judgment.”
