Bhopal: Nine Maoists on Monday surrendered before police in south Bastar district of Sukma in Chhattisgarh.

The surrendered Naxals included Guddu Krishna alias Badru who carried a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.

Badru, who was commander of company number four of outlawed CPI (Maoist) was allegedly involved in several Maoist attacks on security forces in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra in the last nine years, a senior police officer posted in Bastar said.

In another incident, Maoists on Monday lynched a tribal youth, identified as Sudam Hunga of Kamapur village in Sukma district accusing him of being a police informer. His body was thrown on the outskirt of Jagargunda village in the district on Monday.
