Telangana: G Sanjay Goud's brother absconding after civil court rejects bail plea

Banjara hills inspector said that the controversy was over renting a function hall.

Hyderabad: A civil court has rejected the bail petition and directed G. Vamsi Krishna, brother of Yousufguda TRS corporator G. Sanjay Goud, to surrender in a civil dispute. Mr Krishna has not surrendered and is absconding, Banjara Hills inspector K. Srinivas said. Mr Srinivas said that the controversy was over renting a function hall, ‘Victoria’ in Krishnanagar, Banjara Hills. The hall is owned by one Satyanarayana and he had leased it out to Mr Krishna, in 2015 for '2.46 lakh per month.

The inspector said that a dispute arose between the two, and Mr Krishna filed a case in a civil court for an injunction where he allegedly submitted forged documents with several details including the lease amount altered. “The owner filed a complaint last December with the Banjara Hills police. The matter is in the civil court, which cancelled the bail petition and directed Vamsi Krishna to surrender,” the inspector said.

The Banjara Hills police booked a case under IPC Sections 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 420 (cheating and dishonestly), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust). “The accused will be arrested in case he does not surrender before the court,” the inspector said. This is the second complaint that has surfaced in less than four days involving the families of TRS corporators.
