Minority-dominated areas will be developed: Sunkara Pavani

Ms Pavani said that it was happy occasion for her to celebrate Azad's 129th birth anniversary.

Kakinada: Kakinada mayor Sunkara Pavani on Saturday said that infrastructure facilities would be created in several localities where minorities are residing in the city. Paying rich tributes to Freedom Fighter and the first Union education minister of India Moulana Abul Kalam Azad at a function hall at J. Ramaraopet here, Ms Pavani said that it was happy occasion for her to celebrate Azad’s 129th birth anniversary. She said that Azad always emphasized on quality education and considered schools as laboratories which produced future citizens of India. She said that taking inspiration from him, she would develop the facilities in minority-dominated areas.

Presiding over the function, Kakinada MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao said that successive TD governments, from the time of NTR to present Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, had strove hard for the welfare of the minorities. He said that the government was developing churches, masjids, shadikhanas, madarasas and has introduced many schemes for their development. Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation chairperson Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai said that she would strive hard to bring the government schemes to the poor.
