ANANTAPUR: An unusual incident of smoke emanating from the earth's crust was reported at MK Palli village of Halaharvi mandal in Kurnool district on Wednesday. The incident occurred with a big sound at around 7 am. The phenomenon was seen up to a distance of one kilometer from the spot. When the farmers were on their way to the fields, the incident occured, caused them to panic among the farmers and also people in the nearby locality. Strange sounds have also been reported from the location.
The villages of MK Palli informed revenue and police officials. However, the smoke disappeared the moment the officials reached the spot. A villager captured the video of the incident and uploaded it on social media. The video is now going viral. The officials along with the police are investigating the incident. Halaharvi sub inspector opined that the movement of the Earth’s crust in the black soil might have resulted in the smoke and weird sounds.
