Will give white, yellow, green paper and more: Minister
Chennai: Milk and Dairy Development Minister K. T. Rajenthra Bhalaji ridiculed DMK chief M. K. Stalin for demanding a white paper from the State government over Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami's foreign trip to fetch global investment for Tamil Nadu and sarcastically remarked that the government would give the DMK leader more than mere white paper.
"Stalin has asked for a white paper on investments. Not just a white paper, he will be given yellow and green paper on the investments made by the AIADMK regime and even a cucumber," Mr. Bhalaji remarked in Virudhunagar in the State on Wednesday.
"Is he (CM) ready to publish a detailed White Paper? If he does this, I am ready to hold a function to felicitate him on behalf of the DMK," the DMK leader had said and also sought to know the jobs created and industries set up during the AIADMK regime.
Averring that the necessity for furnishing a white paper does not arise as Mr. Palaniswami has already clearly explained, Mr. Bhalaji reminded that on Tuesday after arriving here from Dubai following the conclusion of his tour of the United Kingdom, U.S.A and the United Arab Emirates, the CM has said his three-nation tour had attracted Rs 8,835 crore investment and it would provide employment opportunities to over 35,520 people.
During the trip, MoUs were signed with 41 companies in the presence of the Chief Minister.
He claimed that the CM was taking steps to make Tamil Nadu the first state in India to create a major industrial revolution. "The people of Tamil Nadu are proud of the Chief Minister who spoke in the US on the rights of Tamils," he added.
