Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislator threatens suicide over party ticket
MANCHERIAL: Former Chennur MLA Nallala Odelu and his family members locked themselves in their house in Mancherial district early on Tuesday in protest against denying party ticket to him by the TRS. The TRS leader locked inside and confined himself early in the morning and refused to allow anybody into house to pacify him and threatened to commit suicide unless the party president promised to give a ticket within 24 hours.
However, the drama ended by the evening, after party president and caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reportedly agreed to meet him and discuss the matter. He later opened the door and communicated this to his followers. Mr Nallala Odelu claimed that he was the son of the soil and Mr Balka Suman, who was given party ticket from Chennur, will not be accepted by the people because he was an “outsider”.
