Hyderabad: Acting on a tip off, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation disaster response force (DRF) teams have rescued as many as five persons in a fire accident which took place in Dew Points wines near Model House in Panjagutta late on Monday.
According to Vishwajit Kampati, director of EVDM, the DRF teams swung in to the immediately after receiving the information. He said that the DRF teams, in co-ordination with the fire department, quickly bought the situation under control.
Later, the DRF swung into action to clear the water logging points that were formed due heavy rain across the city. Mr Kampati said that eight teams participated in the urban flooding operation and cleared water logging points with immediate effect. The team were trained in handling various equipment.
