Congress stir all over Telangana

At Huzurnagar, Suryapet district, The TPCC chief said GO 39 was unconstitutional and unethical.

Hyderabad: Congress leaders across the state held demonstrations and dharnas in front of government offices demanding scrapping of GO 39 that paves the way for constitution of farmer coordination panels.

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Leader of Opposition in Assembly K. Jana Reddy PCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, former minister Sabita Indra Reddy, MLAs D.K Aruna, G. Chinna Reddy, Deputy Leader in the Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy hit the streets at district and mandal headquarters and submitted memoranda to local officers.

At Huzurnagar, Suryapet district, The TPCC chief said GO 39 was unconstitutional and unethical. He said if the government was sincere in distributing Rs 4,000 per acre per season special financial assistance to farmers, it could be commenced from the upcoming Rabi season instead of the Kharif season next year.

He said the three-year rule of the TRS government was a curse for farmers. Farm loan loan waiver and payment of interest were still incomplete, though farmers were problems on account of drought-like conditions in many parts of the state, he said.
