Hyderabad: Five doctors from the Amangal Public Health Centre (PHC) in Mahabubnagar have been issued memos after health minister Laxma Reddy visited the centre on Monday morning.
Dr Reddy paid a surprise visit to the Amangal PHC after the people in the area complained, that doctors were not present at the PHC most of the days.
There are five doctors for the PHC, but the doctors would be available only on rotational basis. Among these five doctors, two doctors came only twice a week. Due to the constant complaints, Dr Reddy visited the place and found only one doctor present at the clinic.
The state health minister has directed the district medical and health officer of Mahabubnagar to issue a memo to all the five doctors.
