Hyderabad: TRS activists have disrupted the Telangana Joint Action Committ-ee’s Amaraveerula Sp-oorthi Yatra by blocking the main entrance to Kamareddy district at Baswapur of Bhikkanur mandal, which resulted in war of words between the two groups.
The TJAC has embarked on the rally to highlight the “failures and mistakes” being committed by the government.
In protest against this, the TRS leaders staged a sit in on National Highway 44 and raised slogans against TJAC chief Prof. Kodandar-am besides damaging flags and banners put up along the road. The police entered the scene and tried to pacify the agitators.
Later, when Prof. Kodandaram was addressing people near a theatre in Bikk-anur, the TRS leaders objected and filed a complaint stating that the TJAC had not taken permission.
Following this, Prof. Kodandaram was arrested and taken to the police station. TJAC activists sta-ged a protest against the arrest.
