UAE Red Crescent Authority offers Rs 20 crore to Kerala

The money would be utilised for the construction of housing complexes.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Red Crescent Authority in UAE has offered Rs 20 crore as part of its commitment to help in the rebuilding of Kerala.

The money would be utilised for the construction of housing complexes, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said here on Thursday after the function marking the State Government signing the MoU with Red Crescent deputy general secretary Fahad Abdul Rahman Yusuf Ali Bin Sultan.

UAE consul general Jamal Al Hussain Zaabi, bizman Yusuff Ali M.A., chief secretary Tom Jose, local self-government secretary T.K. Jose and Rebuild Kerala chief executive V. Venu V were present at the Secretariat function on Thursday.
