Telugu Desam’s high horse, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s donkey jibe
Vijayawada: The barbs traded by the top leadership of the ruling YSR Congress and the main Opposition Telugu Desam were sharper than usual on Thursday, with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy referring to donkeys and former minister Nara Lokesh countering with horses.
Mr Reddy, lashing out at his predecessor N. Chandrababu Naidu over his attending the inauguration of the Kaleshwaram project in Telangana state, said that work on the project began at a time the TD was in power.
He went on to ask if Mr Naidu was “guarding donkeys” when the TS government was building Kalehswaram project.
While Mr Naidu chose to target Mr Reddy on the attacks on TD men, Mr Lokesh took to twitter to lambast the Chief Minister.
In his tweet, Mr Lokesh said that Mr Naidu had not only raised objections to the project but had even lodged a complaint with the Centre. He went on to ask Mr Reddy “whether he had been brushing the teeth of a blind horse” as he had failed to notice Mr Naidu’s protest that was widely covered in the media at that time.
