RSS meets, discusses steps to grow in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

Three-day national meet begins in Vijayawada.

Vijayawada: The three-day national meet of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) began here on Thursday and important persons like the Sirsanghachalak (the chief) of the organisation Mohan Bhagawat, Sanghachalak of Andhra Pradesh Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Raju and others arrived in the city.

This is the first national meeting of the RSS being held after the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), affiliated to the RSS, in the general elections held recently in the country.

According to reports, the meet will discuss several issues like the victory of the BJP in the general elections under the leadership of Modi-Shah, the steps to be taken to strengthen RSS and BJP in South India, the alliances to be forged and the measures to be taken in the upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

Along with the 44 national secretaries of the RSS, the representatives of the RSS affiliated wings, Viswa Hindu Parishad(VHP), BJP and Akhilabharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from across the country, all together 200 people, attended the meet.

During the three days, the RSS leaders would discuss organisation’s activities in different areas, their action plan to strengthen at the grass roots-level and challenges to be faced in the coming days.

The leaders would discuss 'Grameen Vikas', 'Samajik Samarasata', Gou Samvardhan' and 'Samaji Sadbhav', Mr Raju said.

Recently, the RSS has taken up activity on another important aspect, “Paryavaran'’.
