Half-done road repair irks Renuka Colony residents

Ram Sunderlal appealed the GHMC authorities to intervene and ensure that the work is resumed immediately.

Hyderabad: The road repair work at Rajannabowli in Chandrayangutta constituency, has been put on hold for one week now. Residents of Renuka Colony complained that the pending completion of work was causing them severe inconvenience.

Renuka Colony Youth Association president Ram Sunderlal said that the contractors who had been assigned the work began laying the road last month, however, the work was put on hold rather abruptly a week ago without a valid explanation, thereby causing inconvenience to residents, especially when it is raining.

As a result, autorickshaws and cab drivers are not willing to drop commuters off in the area, and motorists are compelled to go through the trouble of riding their bikes on the unmetalled road, he explained.

Mr Ram Sunderlal appealed the GHMC authorities to intervene and ensure that the work is resumed immediately as the Bonalu festival is imminent.
