Maran brothers appear for bail
They appeared before the judge responding to summons issued on February 27 to all the four accused.
Chennai: Former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran and three others, including his brother Kalanidhi Maran, on Monday appeared before a Special Court in New Delhi in connection with the Aircel-Maxis deal case and filed a bail application.
The Maran brothers, Kaveri Kalanidhi, wife of Kalanidhi Maran, and K Shanmugam, MD of South Asia FM Ltd (SAFL) also moved their bail applications before Special CBI Judge OP Saini after which the court issued notice to Enforcement Directorate (ED) and posted the matter for July 21.
They appeared before the judge responding to summons issued on February 27 to all the four accused and two firms — SAFL and Sun Direct TV Pvt Ltd (SDTPL).
