Hyderabad: A man accused of spreading rumours against former AP Chief Minister’s wife Lakshmi Parvathi and actress Poonam Kaur, surrendered before a court in Nampally on Tuesday. The accused identified as Koteshwar Rao who has been absconding for over two months, would be questioned by the Hyderabad cyber crime police.
On April 4, Laxmi Parvathi has lodged a complaint with the city cyber crime police alleging that one Koteshwar Rao, who was earlier working for her, had spread rumours about her character on social media trying to defame her character.
About 12 days later, actress Poonam Kaur also complained that an unidentified person has posted objectionable content against her on Youtube. During the investigation, the police found that the accused involved in both the cases was Koteshwar Rao alias Koti.
