KOZHIKODE: The Facebook post of Dr A.S. Anoop Kumar, of a private hospital here, showering encomiums on health minister K.K. Shailaja as an ‘iron lady’ for her systematic leadership in the fight against Nipah, went viral in social networking sites. The entire world owes to her for fearlessly coordinating all the players in the health sector in an excellent way, the post said.
Dr Anoop also expressed his gratitude to labour minister T.P. Ramakrishnan, district collector U.V. Jose, health department director Dr R.L. Saritha, Medical College Hospital principal Dr VR Rajendran and MCH superintendent Dr K.G Sajith Kumar for their selfless service that yielded results in the fight against the disease.
The FB post refers to minister T.P. Ramakrishnan as the ‘brave leader who fought against the disease ‘on ground’ instilling confidence among people and district collector U.V. Jose as the ‘powerful defence minister at the battlefront’. The FB post also paid homage to Liny, the nurse who laid her life in the battle against the disease.
