JEE Advanced 2017: Samosa seller's son ranks 64 despite odds

Mohan's success story began even before the results of JEE Advanced.

Mohan’s success story began even before the results of JEE Advanced. He was the fifth rank holder in TS Eamcet and the first rank holder in AP Eamcet, which were announced in May.

He also bagged All India Sixth rank and South India first rank in JEE Mains. Mohan’s continuous perseverance to succeed has led to his much desired results. Mohan says that his study patterns were just like any other student’s and he would try to study at least ten hours a day. “I wouldn’t take any extra workload and study according to a timetable that ranged from ten to twelve hours a day. I owe my success to my parents whose hard work has been my inspiration.”

Mohan’s keen love for physics is what propelled him to IIT and he aspires to become a scientist.
