JEE Advanced 2017: Hard work secures farmer's son 309 rank
Hyderabad: Kovvuri Jayendra Reddy, a student hailing from a rural village called Anaparthi in Andhra Pradesh, has secured an All India Rank of 309.
Jayendra’s schooling was done in his village and therefore he had no foundation for the concepts taught for IIT coaching.
He says, “I was very lost when I came to Telangana after my 10th standard. But the teachers at FIITJEE were highly experienced and I put in a lot of extra hours of hard work to score so well.”
Jayendra attributes his success to his parents who have always supported him.
“My father is a farmers in our village and he has always worked hard to fund my education. I have been able to study so far only because of his continued guidance. Whenever the preparation felt too tough, I would think about my father who was my motivating factor,” says Jayendra. Jayendra aspires to do further research in electrical engineering.
He hopes that more coaching centres come up in rural parts of Telangana too.
