Tadi villagers' relocation process begins in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: After years of discussions, the district administration is finally preparing for relocation of Tadi villagers.

With oxygen becoming rare and alarming rise in the respiratory and other diseases due to pollution caused by Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City (JNPC) at Paravada, Tadi villagers have been staging protest for their relocation
District Collector N. Yuvaraj on Saturday held a meeting with the Pendurthy MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, village heads of Tadi and revenue officials for relocation of the villagers.

Yuvaraju suggested the officials to conduct bio-metric survey to get a head count of the population so that accordingly houses and other infrastructure could be built. The collector said the government was ready to protect the villagers from the pollution and take all measures for their well being.

The collector suggested that the district administration conducted a survey and identified huge chunk land at Peda Mushidivada for the rehabilitation and if the villagers were willing, they could be relocated.

He asked the Revenue Officer KM Rao to mark boundaries at in the suggested land in Pedamushidivada and asked him to take the villagers for sightseeing.
MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy suggested Yuvaraj to identify assigned land instead of private land so that the rehabilitation scheme could be high and dry quickly without any delay.
