Four apprehended over BJP-Congress clash in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: The police have apprehended four individuals in relation to Wednesday's clash between Congress and BJP workers at Moodushedde in Mangaluru.

The scuffle, which occurred on May 10 evening, resulted in injuries to several individuals, who were rushed to a nearby hospital. Additionally, one police officer was injured, and a police vehicle was damaged during the incident.

Following the incident, five First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). To maintain law and order, Section 144 has been imposed in five police station areas.

Police have taken four individuals into custody in connection with this incident and have subsequently been sent to judicial custody.

"We are also working to identify others who were involved. Strict action will be taken against all perpetrators," said Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain.

The four arrested individuals are Punith, Nishanth, Rakesh, and Dinesh.
