File cheating complaint: Madras high court to Pondicherry University

A teacher training institute, for admitting students without affiliation.

Chennai: The Madras high court has directed the Pondicherry University to lodge a cheating complaint with the jurisdiction police against the Usha Lachumanan College of Education in Thirukkanur, a teacher training institute, for admitting students without affiliation.

The registrar and controller of examinations, of Pondicherry university, are directed to lodge a police complaint against the Usha Lachumanan College of Education in respect of cheating committed against the students as well as the society at large and set the law in motion.

The judge dismissed the miscellaneous petition filed by the aggrieved students, which sought a direction to the university to permit them to continue and complete their B.Ed in the Usha Lachumanan college of education without any break or hindrance, appear for all examinations conducted by the University for the students joined in the academic year 2017-2019 declare the results or transfer to any other approved teacher education institution affiliated to the university.
