Hyderabad: A Grade-A officer with the Reserve Bank of India allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her residence on Thursday night due to marital disputes with her husband, police said.
According to the police, Ms Sweta Jain, a native of Kolkata, married to Nitin Jain, assistant manager at National Bank For Agriculture & Rural Development two years ago. The couple could not conceive a baby, due to which there used to be domestic differences.
“The couple shifted to the Nabard staff quarters in Ameerpet two months ago. On Thursday night at about 8.30 pm, Sweta hanged herself in her room. There was no suicide note found and her husband Nitin was present at home during the incident,” said SR Nagar inspector G. Ajay Kumar.
Based on a complaint received from the husband, SR Nagar police booked a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Cide and started an investigation.
