Guard who survived attack on Jaya's estate brought for identification parade
Coimbatore: A security guard at Kodanad estate bungalow of late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa who survived last month's attack on him and his colleague by a gang, was brought to central jail in Coimbatore to identify the accused.
Krishna Bahadur was brought to the jail in Coimbatore by police to identify the accused, in the presence of Gudalur Magistrate Tamilselvan.
He reportedly identified six accused.
Six of the eight accused are lodged in the central jail in Coimbatore, while the other two are in a jail in Kerala
Security guard Om Bahadur was killed on April 24 by a 10 member gang, which also attacked Krishna Bahadur and fled with some watches and an art piece from a room which they broke open.
Key accused Kanagaraj, a former driver of Jayalalithaa was killed in an accident the next day, while another accused, Sayan is undergoing treatment in a private hospital here, after he met with an accident the same night.
Sami alias Manoj Samy, Santhosh, Satheeshan, Dhipu, Udhaya Kumar and Manoj are lodged in the jail here and Bahadur reportedly identified them from among nearly 50 persons, jail sources said.
