Staff stir did not hit passengers: Jet Airways

Apart from Jet Airways, Spicejet and Indigo airlines have cut down services, adding to the woes of fliers.

Kozhikode: The Jet Airways clarified on Thursday that there was no staff strike "at any point of time" putting the passengers in Malabar in "dire straits."

The clarification came in reaction to a DC story (April 11, page 3) on the acute shortage of flights in the Gulf as well as domestic sectors in the region both from Calicut and Kannur airports as major private airliners have cut down the services.

A Jet communiqué said the "report is completely untrue, baseless and speculative".
