Money trail sees I-T men knock on Raadhika's doors

I-T sources said that the department is digging deep to know if there was a money transaction between Sarathkumar and the AIADMK (Amma).

Chennai/ Tiruchy: A day after questioning actor turned politician R. Sarath Kumar, income-tax investigators conducted raids on his house at Kottivakkam and on the premises of Raadan Media, owned by his wife Raadhika for the second time in the last five days.

Income-tax sources said that the department is digging deep to know if there was a money transaction between Sarathkumar and the AIADMK (Amma), the Sasikala faction. Sarath Kumar had extended his support for TTV Dhinakaran, AIADMK (Amma) candidate for RK Nagar bypoll. Officials indicated that over '7 crore has been paid to garner Sarath Kumar’s support by Sasikala camp. It is believed the money trail led officials to his wife’s firm.

Meanwhile, officials of the Central Public Works department (CPWD) and I-T department conducted raids on Tuesday at the stone and sand quarries of health minister Dr C.Vijayabaskar at Thiruvengaivasal and Muthudayanpatti village near Pudukkottai.
