Kiran Bedi lashes out at Pondy CS for politicised conduct in administration issues

Lt Governor alleged that Chief Secretary and the ministers are not replying to the files that have been sent to them from the Raj Nivas.

Puducherry: Puducherry lieutenant governor Kiran Bedi has lashed out at the Union territory's chief secretary for his “politicised' conduct on several issues regarding administration. The Lt Governor alleged that Chief Secretary and the ministers are not replying to the files that have been sent to them from the Raj Nivas. The Lt Governor charged the Chief Secretary Manoj Parida with 'taking sides' in matters related to the administration.

“An official is supposed to be neutral, but here this is not happening. The Chief Secretary is taking sides and highly politicised'” alleged the Lt Governor while talking to media persons. The Lt Governor slammed the Congress-led government saying that the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues also adopt the same attitude of the Chief Secretary. “The same thing happens with the Chief Minister and other ministers. Though files are being sent to the ministers on several issues we are not receiving a reply”, she said.

In response to an allegation about pending files at the Raj Nivas. “Not even a single file is pending in Raj Nivas. We are replying to it in a time-bound manner,” she said. Talking about the allegations that the Union Territory is not getting funds from the Centre, the Lt Governor said that the funds can only be received for good projects. It is not about competition, but it is about the benefits of people in Puducherry to make it a clean, developed place, said the Lt Governor.
