GHMC fines hotels for poor hygiene

The team inspected the fly zone along with airport staff, to check on dogs and pigs presence.

Hyderabad: Municipal authorities inspected a private dairy at Shyam Lal Building at Begumpet and served a closure notice to the dairy farmers after imposing a Rs 10,000 compounding fees.

Authorities also inspected the Royal Palace Hotel at Dwaraka Nagar colony in Panjagutta and slapped a fine notice of Rs 20,000.

Bakeries and restaurants were fined for unhygienic and unsanitary conditions. Among them were Siddi Restaurant in Vayupuri that was fined Rs 15,000, 5th Avenue Bakery in Sainikpuri fined rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 fine for Leo Multi Cuisine hotel.

The team inspected United Kitchen of India at Road No 45, Jubilee Hills, and imposed a fine of Rs 30,000, for unhygienic kitchen conditions and for procurement of unstamped meat.

A fine of Rs 20,000 was also imposed on Raghavendra Tiffin centre for unhygienic kitchen and unhygienic workers at Kukatpally

Meanwhile, a team from the Veterinary department visited Begumpet airport as part of the security check before the visit of the Vice-President to the city on April 13. The team inspected the fly zone along with airport staff, to check on dogs and pigs presence.
