Karimnagar: File bind over cases again, says police commissioner V.B. Kamalasan Reddy

The top cop reminded the officials that the bind-over period of 493 persons will end in the coming few days.

Karimnagar: In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, police commissioner V.B. Kamalasan Reddy, met his officials on Monday and ordered them to lodge bind over cases against persons who indulge in anti-social activities.

The top cop reminded the officials that the bind-over period of 493 persons will end in the coming few days. Mr Kamalasan has directed the officials to lodge cases against them again, keeping in view the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In addition, he asked them to file cases against those who indulged in anti-social and criminal activities from November, 2018. “Take steps for imposing a penalty of Rs 1 lakh by presenting them in front of the concerned tehasildar or imprison them for six months for violating the bind-over rules,” he ordered.

He also ordered the officials to take necessary steps to prevent untoward incidents in view of ensuing elections along with the removal of flexies, cut-outs and banners placed at government offices within 24 hours.

Additional divisional commissioner of police S. Srinivas, assistant commissioners of police P. Ashok, T. Usha Rani, T. Krupakar, Prasad Rao, Shoban Kumar, Srinivas, Regya Nayak and Shiva Bhaskar were also present in the meeting.
