Hyderabad: Govt officials helped aides of Mohammed Nayeemuddin
Hyderabad: The involvement of certain registration department officials has surfaced in the illegal registration of lands, which were reportedly carried out by the aides of slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin. This was done despite the Bhongir sub-registrar’s office being informed to stop the execution of sale deeds of certain properties, which had been seized by the SIT formed to probe the cases against the gangster.
In the recent incident of illegal registration of lands, the Rachakonda police identified that the gang was allegedly working in collusion with the registration department officials and were trying to execute the sale deeds.
Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said that the SIT had earlier addressed the SRO, Bhongir, requesting him not to entertain sale deeds in respect of the lands which were involved in criminal cases. The police have also started inquiring about the role of officials working at the SRO, Bhongir to take necessary legal action. The role of the sub-registrar’s office has been identified, as the execution of the sale deeds was done with photocopies of the documents.
“It is negligence of the officials. Despite informing them that the original documents are with the SIT as part of the investigation, they continued with the process. The role of the sub-registrar’s office has been identified, as the execution of the sale deeds was done with photocopies of the documents. Further investigations in the case are on to establish the role of accused persons involved,” the Commissioner said.
Commissioner Bhagwat said that the followers and aides of slain gangster Nayeemuddin may try to tap into land transactions by offering lower prices, but the people have been told not to fall prey to them and not to enter into any sale or purchase of the lands grabbed by the gangster and his associates.
