Dakavaram Ashok gets summons for march 13

The notice said that a case had been registered against the management of IT Grids India Pvt Ltd.

Hyderabad: The TS Special Investigation Team that is probing the cases of alleged data breach of AP voters, on Monday served fresh notices to Mr Dakavaram Ashok, director of IT Grids India Pvt Ltd. The SIT asked him to appear for questioning as a witness on March 13.

The notice said that a case had been registered against the management of IT Grids India Pvt Ltd. for the offences under IPC Sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 379 (punishment for theft), 420 (cheating) and 188 (disobeying order of public servant) and Sections 66 (B) and 72 of the IT Act.

“In this connection, notices under Section 160 of CrPC, were sent to your residence as well as in the electronic form on March 2, in spite which you failed to appear before the investigating officer. You are once again requested to appear before the IO at the SIT office for questioning on March 13, 2019, at 10 am, for the purpose of the investigation,” said the SIT in its notice to Mr Ashok.

The officials on Monday pasted the notices to the residence of Mr Ashok at RR Residency in Vidhura Vihar of KPHB Phase VI under Kukatpally police limits.

It asked Mr Ashok to appear for questioning at the SIT office being run from City Security Wing at Goshamahal.

A case against the company was registered by the Madhapur police based on a complaint from data analyst T. Lokeshwar Reddy, alleging that it had sensitive data pertaining to the people of AP. The SIT consisting of police personnel with expertise in probing cyber crime was constituted by the state government.
