Vizianagaram: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has been emulating American President Donald Trump who has been spewing racial venom against Indians, to safeguard his power by putting the women’s lives at risk, alleged YSRC MLA R.K. Roja. On Saturday, Ms Roja and YSRC general secretary Mr Vijay Sai Reddy participated in the party review meeting in Vizianagaram.
Launching a scathing attack on Mr Naidu, Ms Roja said that there was no security for the women under Telugu Desam’s rule in Andhra Pradesh. “Deeply indulged in corruption activities, the women Telugu Desam people’s representatives have left the security of the women to the air. They haven’t taken up a single programme for the welfare of the women. Several TD MLAs were involved in the ‘call money’ scam in which hundreds of women were dragged into flesh trade,” Ms Roja alleged.
“The TD government has failed in implementing the Balamrutham and other schemes aimed at the welfare of women and children,” she added. Mr Vijay Sai Reddy called upon the party cadre to strive for the party’s victory in the 2019 General Elections. “There was a proposal to increase the number of Assembly seats in the state from 175 to 225. I have also introduced a private bill to reserve 33 per cent seats to the women in Lok Sabha,” said Mr Reddy. District YSRC president B. Chandrasekhar, MLC K. Veerabhadra Swamy and others were present.
