Hyderabad: There are chances of extending the Numaish till February 24 as the police will become busy with the Assembly session from February 25. The Numaish ends on February 15, but there was talk of an extension because of the fire on January 30.
According to sources, the police had told the Exhibition Society that they could not provide security to the Numaish and the Assembly session at the same time. Home minister Mohd Mahmood Ali had assured exhibitors that the exhibition would be extended up to February 28 to help them recoup their losses.
Exhibitors complained that after rain on January 26, business had turned very dull. One of the exhibitors said that it appeared that the people were not in a hurry as they assumed that the exhibition would continue till February 28.
