Bengaluru: Three injured in college bus accident
Bengaluru: Three college students were injured, while 30 school students escaped unhurt after a private school bus collided head on with a college bus in Bagalur in Chikkajala traffic police limits on Monday morning.
The injured students, Nitish, Sanjay and Adarsh, were sitting close to the driver’s seat. All of them have sustained multiple injuries, but are said to be out of danger. The police said the school bus was carrying 30 students and all of them escaped unhurt.
The incident took place around 7 am when the school bus lost its control and collided with the college bus, which was carrying only three students. The impact led to the college bus ramming into a transformer on the roadside.
The Chikkajala traffic police rushed to the spot and took school bus driver Siddesh into custody. The police alerted the management of both the school and college and immediately alternative vehicles were arranged to drop the students to the school.
The police said the accident took place because of the negligence of the school bus driver. The Chikkajala traffic police have registered a case and seized both vehicles.
