Mangaluru: COVID-19 cases in Dakshina Kannada district continue to surge. On Tuesday the district recorded 583 cases. The COVID positivity rate in the district is 5.73 percent.

Three more Covid clusters have been identified in Dakshina Kannada district. All three clusters are in Mangaluru Taluk.

Among the three clusters, one is in the hostel of a private medical college wherein 10 people tested COIVD positive. The second cluster is an apartment with seven cases and the third one is a construction site where eight cases have been reported.

In last one week, the number of new infections in the district has been registering huge surge.
