Chennai: The Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Vandalur has announced that the zoo will remain open on January 15 to receive visitors on Pongal.
The zoo will be open for the public from 8 am to 6 pm on three days, January 15,16 and 17 January, a release from the zoo said.
"The management has arranged for 20 entry ticket counters. The visitors can book the zoo entry ticket through the website -www.aazp.in and mobile app - Vandalur Zoo. Two special ticket counters will be dedicated to those who book tickets online which will be operational from January 12-17. For the benefit of visitors, debit card, credit card and UPI payment facilities will be available at the ticket counters during these days," the release added.Special buses from various parts of city and mofussil areas to reach Vandalur zoo have been arranged by the MTC for visitors, and additional parking facilities have been arranged.
Necessary facilities like drinking water and first aid have also been made.
