CHENNAI: All Tasmac IMFL retail vending shops and attached bars, bars in clubs and hotels will remain closed on account of Tiruvalluvar Day (Jan.15), Republic Day (Jan.26) and Vallalar Ninaivu Nall (Jan.31), announced Chennai collector V. Anbuselvan on Thursday.
There shall be no sale of liquor on three days and if any violation of the provision is noticed, necessary action will be taken as per the rules enlisted under Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending Rules and Tamil Nadu Liquor Rules, said an official release.
