Kochi: BJP leader K. Surendran on Thursday has submitted a fresh list of 26 witnesses in connection with the Manjeswaram assembly election petition case.
The HC has issued notices to all 26 persons to appear in person before the court.
The petition has been posted for further hearing on January 22. The BJP leader has submitted the fresh list following the court observation that the proceedings will be brought to an end in case of no more witnesses. Mr Surendran has approached the court demanding annulment of elections stating widespread bogus voting. He said those working abroad and persons who are 'no more' cast their votes, and that led to his defeat.
