With Krishna in Kadapa, Naidu eyes Jagan's turf
Anantapur: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that Pulivendula, native constituency of the Opposition leader, was given Krishna waters even before his home constituency Kuppam, as assured earlier.
“Though Kadapa voters elected only one MLA from my party and all other candidates from the YSRC, I have never been prejudiced against Kadapa, but instead have given priority to the completion of projects and development activities as promised,” Mr Naidu said. He added that the Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy family, which enjoys power in the district, has done nothing for the welfare of people.
The CM released Krishna waters to Pulivendula via the Paidipalem reservoir, from Kadapa district through lift irrigations from the Gandikota reservoir on Wednesday. He was flanked by ministers Devineni Uma Maheswar Rao and Ganta Srinivasa Rao and AP Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Sathish Kumar Reddy, as he switched on the pump using a remote control.
Recalling his assurance of giving Pulivendula priority over Kuppam, the CM said that he had achieved the goal of providing Krishna waters to Pulivendula as well as other parts of Kadapa district.
