HRD minister unveils new logo for IIM-Visakhapatnam

The minister emphasised that IIM has an important role in the development and growth of the State.

Visakhapatnam: A new logo for IIM-Visakhapatnam was unveiled by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao at the Institute premises on Sunday. Speaking at the occasion, Ganta said that IIM occupies a special place in AP for three reasons such as- It is located in the “City of Destiny” which is ideal for a business school, which was develped within a short span, world-class infrastructure and is imparting top-quality management education to students from 20 states across the country. The HRD minister said that IIM-Visakhapatnam has emerged as a popular source in the country for good talent right from its first batch, attracting several reputed companies which are making impressive placement offers. He also expressed his happiness that few graduates are working with the AP government and contributing to the socio-economic progress of the state.

The minister emphasised that IIM has an important role in the development and growth of the State and he is looking forward to build a truly world-class and future-proof campus in the next two-three years with ambience and aesthetics of global standards. Our goal should be to make the campus a legendary landmark, he remarked. Director of the Institute stated how fortunate IIM was to be in a city like Vizag which offers an ecosystem conducive to innovation, industry and entrepreneurship, for management education to progress. It is also laudable that AP is a leading State in the country, through its professional and pragmatic approach.
