Bengaluru Mayor Gangambike seeks advice from her predecessors
Bengaluru: Newly-elected Mayor Gangambike called all the previous mayors to draw from their experience of running the city and to figure out a permanent solution to issues plaguing Bengaluru, like garbage, parks, storm water drains, administration, potholes and others.
Former mayors Sampath Raj, Padmavathi, Katte Sathyanarayana, Manjunath Reddy, S.K. Nataraj, Narayana Swamy and Ramachandrappa attended the meeting and gave their advice to Ms Gangambike.
After the meeting, Ms Gangambike said, “It was a crucial meeting with the people who served as mayors. We have a lot to learn from them and have got their advice on various issues. For the development of the city advice of previous mayors is essential.”
Ms Padmavathi shared her experience on handling garbage menace and also shared her bit on the administrative aspects. Mr Manjunath Reddy explained the difficulties faced due to official apathy.
Ms Gangambike said that she will implement the advice given and strive hard to improve the city.
