5-hour wait for Vizag Air India passengers

As the passengers were waiting in the flight for departure, the pilot refused to take off.

Visakhapatnam: As many as 72 passengers on board a Bengaluru-bound flight of Air India from Vizag city had a harrowing time on Sunday morning after they were made to sit in the aircraft and later the airport for five hours for alternative flight arrangement following a technical glitch in the plane.

The flight, AI-9539 (Vizag-Bengaluru via Vijayawada), was supposed to take off from Vizag airport at 7 am on Sunday. However, the pilot of the flight has noticed some glitches in the flight and informed the passengers to get down from the flight.

Around 8 am, the AI informed that the flight will take off around 8.30 am and asked the passengers to board the flight. As the passengers were waiting in the flight for departure, the pilot refused to take off, citing that safety of passengers was their priority as the glitch was not fully set right.
